11 Plant Based Proteins

 

Sent to me from one of my subscribers.  Some good information for those of us wishing to move away from eating meat.

Pumpkin Seeds, Seed, Vegetable

1. Natto

Natto is a type of fermented soybean consumed most often in Japan. At 31 grams of protein in one cup, you can probably see why it ranked No. 1 on my list. It’s also a complete protein.

While I don’t recommend most soy products to my readers (due to the high prevalence of GMO options and phytoestrogen complications), natto is a fermented soy product that I think is worth the hype.

The smell and texture of natto often turn off people to trying it, but I enjoy the taste and don’t mind using it as a side dish — especially with all the benefits it provides.

2. Spirulina

This algae superfood looks a little bizarre, but this plant protein powerhouse has some unbelievable benefits, like heavy metal detox, HIV/AIDS improvement and cancer prevention.

While not a complete protein on its own, spirulina has a whopping 39 grams of protein in just a serving (part of why it’s a delicious part of a morning green smoothie). To supplement the methionine and cysteine it’s missing, just pair it with a whole grain or some nuts.

Spirulina also includes the highest amount of glutamine found in a plant food. Glutamine is an amino acid that is called “conditionally essential,” because the body is able to create it on its own, but it’s used in such large amounts that you also need to consume it through foods. (8)

3. Tempeh

Another one of the world’s best plant-based protein sources is tempeh, an Indonesian soybean. Like natto, this probiotic-rich bean is fermented to eliminate the common issues soy often provides.

You’ll get 18 grams of protein in a serving of this complete protein. Some people boil and eat it with soy sauce or coconut aminos, and since it absorbs neighboring flavors, you can use it with almost any recipe. Try it in chilis, salads and stews for a start.

4. Nutritional Yeast

Don’t let the name fool you — this yeast isn’t the same stuff that helps to bake bread. Nutritional yeast only contains about 9 grams of protein per serving; however, unlike almost any other plant food, it usually includes fortified Vitamin B-12.

Generally, you should treat nutritional yeast like a condiment or an ingredient in cheesy dishes or as a shake ingredient.

5. Pumpkin Seeds

A cup of pumpkin seeds contains 12 grams of protein. (9) Another complete protein source, pumpkin seeds are high in healthy fats, magnesium, lysine and zinc (the latter two of which are often limited on plant-based diets).

However, a word of caution: if you are counting calories (which I don’t often deem necessary), you should know that a cup of pumpkin seeds contains 264 calories.

6. Hemp Seeds

Hemp seeds have 9 grams of protein per serving, and are also complete in their amino acid profile. They contain gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which is probably one reason they have so many health benefits, like reducing inflammation and helping with multiple sclerosis.

7. Amaranth

A gluten-free “ancient-grain” cultivated first in history by the Aztecs, amaranth grains are an excellent source of nutrition. Amaranth is a complete protein, offering 9 grams per serving, and also contains over 100 percent of your daily recommended manganese intake.

8. Quinoa

Quinoa is another one of those incredible “ancient grains,” although it’s technically not a grain at all, but a “pseudocereal,” a seed that you use similarly to barley.

Due to its 8 grams of protein per serving, complete inclusion of amino acids and relative ease of access, quinoa is one of my favorite plant-based protein foods to eat often.

9. Black Beans

Although black beans are short just one amino acid (hydroxyproline) of being called “complete,” they still offer an awesome source of protein at 15 grams per serving.

They also contain a large amount of lysine and leucine, two of the amino acids rarely found in plant-based protein foods. (10) Leucine is the primary of three branched-chain amino acids, which is extremely significant for weight loss and metabolism management.

10. Green Peas

Apparently, your mom was right when she said eating your peas was important — green peas have 9 grams of protein per serving and include significant amounts of leucine, lysine and glutamine. (11)

They’re also one of those high-fiber foods that help decrease your risk of obesity, heart disease and diabetes.

11. Lentils

Referred to nutritionally as an “edible pulse,” lentils are part of the legume family and provide a great nutritional profile including 18 grams of protein.

They do technically contain all 20 amino acids, but the amounts of cysteine and methionine in lentils are negligible, so if you’re watching protein macros, try adding almonds or another healthy nut to even out the numbers.

Other “complete” plant-based proteins I enjoy include buckwheat, chia seeds and Ezekiel bread. Chickpeas and lima beans are also great sources of protein.

Carrying The Energies of Unconditional Love

I remember the first time in this incarnation I had a several-minute experience of feeling Unconditional Love.  Not just love as we humans define it but the kind of Love that is All (and awe) Encompassing.  It was around 2006/2007 and I was in my car, sitting in the parking lot, waiting for my mate to get off from work.  I was watching the cars go by, my mind, quiet.  Something within me began to imagine the stories of the people driving by.  Where were they going?  Were they going home and if so, was their home life happy, fulfilling?

My inner world then expanded as I began to wonder about our world leaders, in particular the current administration at the time of the United States.  I observed them making decisions, those that lead to war and destruction.  I tuned in to understand what was driving those decisions. What I saw and felt created a shift within.  I could feel that, while their actions were indeed heartless and often malicious, they literally had NO MEMORY of who they really were.  None.  They were completely lost, unable to hear much less feel the energies of their Higher Selves.

Next thing I know, I am weeping, sending them energies of Love that was so powerful ~ my human brain could only observe in stunned silence.  I remember thinking and knowing “this is how we are ALL designed to Be and one day you will return to this State in this body”.  It was such an overwhelmingly wonderful, beautiful experience, I literally BEGGED to stay in that state.  The energy grew until I felt I was going to burst open, my human body literally disintegrating to allow for the Light within to Shine to its Fullest.  Moments later, the feeling disappeared.  It was as though someone snapped off the light in the room and I was left, in a daze, to the thoughts now rushing through my mind.

I wondered how on earth would it be possible to carry these energies 24/7. Seriously – how could this be possible in a body?   That energy thing I felt was HUGE.  I thought I was literally going to burst apart.  The question makes me smile today and I feel a lot of tenderness for the person I was then. What I was really seeking was how could my body handle such a state of Being continuously?  What was the process for obtaining and maintaining this State?

Unaware of Ascension at the time and that entire experience/journey, I was not aware that awakening and returning to this State was a process, assisted by not just my own Intentions but by the Assistance of Source, Higher Selves and Cosmic Energies.

Since that date, I have had numerous such experiences, two very recently. I now know and feel I have more ability to hold this state as well as more “room” within this body to hold the energies.  Perhaps a good analogy is when we over-load a circuit.  Such an object can only withhold as much energy as it is designed to hold.  The beauty here is that our physical beings are changing structure to allow for us to hold those states of energy for longer periods of “time”.

And it isn’t just my physical body making changes to make this process the way of Being but it is my intention to release that which is essentially taking up space, keeping me in the state of separation and forgetfulness. Those memories and experiences and their accompanying emotions, certainly those that are not useful in the Remembering journey but are rather more like old dusty cobwebs that need a Love Clean to shine again. Cosmic energies incoming are greatly assisting us in this process.

I can see all of this in my mind’s eye just now as I read the previous words again.  When I am lost in the separation and forgetfulness, a part of me within literally snaps a finger, says “hey over here – REMEMBER”.  A nice trick, eh?

Today I return to that first experience I had over a decade ago.  Earlier today I was reading an online discussion on forgiveness, aimed at those who have kept us enslaved in this financial fraud.  Why waste energy wanting them punished?  What is it we really want here – FREEDOM. Pointing fingers and the like, if we make that our focus, will keep us disconnected from Source.  Now this is not to say being our Source Selves says we are a doormat.  Of course not.  Our Energy Bodies tell us when something is not OK.  We are to listen to these experiences and respond accordingly.  Incoming energies are already weakening the power of others who have played their power-over games ~ as well as those of us who have participated in the power-under games.  Supportive energies are going to leave those who have participated in the most destructive ways with the option ~ heal and ascend or you will vibrate naturally to a realm of your choosing which will allow you to continue your ways until you see, feel and know different.  That is my perception.

I pause as I feel I was given that moment so long ago to remind me today that truly being Free includes being Free of Judgment.  It is liberating.  If I can find forgiveness, if I can find Love for those who have perpetuated the most destructive of behaviors, well then I have nothing but Hope we can all find it within ourselves as well ~ for us and for all.

How powerful this will be when we can look into the eyes of one, including ourselves, who is detached from Source Energy and say with Strength and Absolute Knowing:  “You have forgotten who you really are.  I see you. You are Love. You really do not want to participate in this, do you?”

Such an interaction with others and most importantly, with ourselves, can and will create experiences of healing and beauty for all.  And ultimately, Freedom.

The world moves rather quickly now toward its new destination. This is not a different place so much as a different atmosphere. By that is meant frequency. All around you is changing while all around you remains the same. It is a concept that is a challenge to define. For some of you it may go relatively unnoticed.

Please try to explain. It is something we are all anticipating and envisioning and wondering about.

 

Yes. The reason, or one of the reasons, for reaching out to you so often now, is to assist with the definition. The transition is not something that happens in your everyday.

None of you will have a conscious memory of doing this so you can use it for reference. You’ll be taken by surprise, as this proceeds and moves along.

I want to be clear on the fact that it is moving along and that catastrophe is not in the plan.

There will be earth shifts and alterations that render parts of the planet inhospitable, if only temporarily.

A move inside the earth or off the surface will be necessary.

How you orchestrate or participate in the orchestration by others is being self-defined. You will create this as you have created all others.

The newer frequencies are fast moving and coming at you right now. There has been a buffer to lessen the effect and to help make it more gradual. It is all but removed now.

You feel this.

The random internal fluctuations of your physiologic systems are testament to their effect. You cannot expect to move through this unaltered.

There will be some, and these will, more often be those who have been here longest, who will not fare well. They will be having a challenge and stubbornly insisting on remaining unchanged.

It will be hardest to deal with them as there is nothing in their life’s doctrine that tells them the very atmosphere they live on is altering their emotional, physical and spiritual body. Yet, that is what is happening. Their insistence on standing in one place and unmoving will result in breakage – like a tree that doesn’t bend in the wind.

How can they be helped?

 

Talking about your similar feelings and noticing will help.

These beings came here to experience the shift as you did – only it may not be in full consciousness for them.

It happens anyway. There is no right or wrong way to proceed now and each one of you is a gift for the other. All reactions are necessary and each of you who intend to proceed through the shift to live beyond it, in a new world, will be doing just that.

Intent dictates result. The fact that it is spoken aloud matters not. So the landscape changes around you now and the full force of the changes has not yet arrived.

There is acceleration now, not so much because of where you’ve moved, but because of what protective barriers have been taken away.

This is necessary to again allow for a gradual acceleration.

It is very close and you must notice this.

What is unnecessary falls away.

What is not serving the whole is either leaving or ending or becoming so very clear that it cannot be ignored or missed.

Those that insist on continuing in a service to some destructive intent or gluttony or exclusively selfish ends, walk their own path. This is where the road forks. It becomes clearer now.

Don’t confuse those who are having trouble adjusting because they are not conscious of the changes going on – with those who are acting in destructive and negative ways. They are not the same.

Assist your brethren with love and support. You will be clear on those who never intended on the new frequency – they stick out like sore thumbs, esp. now.

Trust that inner emotion when considering what to do and how to proceed. This is what becomes the most effective guide for the course to be followed. You know what to do and it will turn out always as you intend. You will be fine.

The Council ~ Everything Is Changing

 

Editor’s note:  I read this after I shared my previous piece on feeling and imagining life without the concern of money.  Rather ties in how our individual thoughts effect the whole.  

We will revisit today a familiar topic. As usual, we will impart a bit of insight that may be helpful, and we will lead you to some reasonings that will perhaps be rather new to you.

You are living in a construct that you view as reality. That is, in fact your term for it. Now we have pointed out to you several times in the past that this reality is made up of molecules, atoms, particles, nanoparticles, and finally energy. You live in a field of nothing but energy, and you call your interpretation of it reality.

This interpretation is a construct that you have built up a consensus or mutual agreement about for your entire history. In other words, what you see is what you have agreed to see. You have named shapes. You have named functions. You have named colors and sounds. There is not much in your environment that you have not agreed upon. Well, actually, there is. But you don’t perceive it.

You see, your senses collect from the field of energy certain frequencies and send them to brain centers that construct sights, sounds, smells, etc. That is ‘how you work’. And you leave far more frequencies unprocessed than you know. Even the amount that is perceived varies greatly among you. And so, reality, even as defined by you, is different for each of you.

The important point, for this discussion, is that underlying everything you see around you is the fact that it is actually an energy field. All of it. Tornadoes are energy fields. And mountains are energy fields. You are an electromagnetic field of immense complexity and perfection, a miracle.

Now, these fields, this field, for all of these energies combine into one, are always in flux. They have always changed. They are changing. And they will always change. Mountains become plains. Trees become paper. Continents drift. Forests become deserts. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing is changeless. And it is all an energy field.

“Yeah. So?”

What causes the changes to be made? Very simply, a change in any part of the field will affect, to some degree, all of the field, every part of the field.

“Yeah. So?”

So, since your field is an integral part of the field, any change in you has ripples that affect everything else.

Now, we have been at pains for some time to speak about your true power. We have spoken of focus, of intent, etc. All of these things are aspects of the real co-creative power that is you. Yes, power, because if your feelings, your thoughts, your words, your intentions change the field, they change everything. It is not that they can, not that they have, not that they will. It is that they are creating changes every day, every moment.

We would like to conclude this by telling you that your combined power, which is beyond your current comprehension, is having its desired effect. You need to understand the immensity of the task of shifting the combined paths of billions of realities in the blink of an eye. It does not appear that way to you, but from the viewpoint of billions of years, it is indeed the blink of an eye. We give you credit and great love for doing so. You, however, need to cut yourselves a little slack.

One other thought we would leave with you. Do not be so quick to judge what is going on around you. You really can have no concept of its true effect upon the outcome. Everything will serve to bring your new world into being. It is so decreed.

Opening Of The Lions Gate Portal

 

Every year the Sun, Earth and Sirius move to specific points in the sky activating the Lionsgate Portal.

The Lionsgate Portal opens from July 26 to August 12, however it is at its most powerful on August 8.

It is on this day that we can receive the full abundance of the magical and powerful energy that is on offer.

In order to understand what Lionsgate is all about, it is important to understand what the three cosmic players (Earth, Sun and Sirius) are all doing.

For the Lionsgate Portal to be activated, the Sun has to align with the star, Sirius which is bigger and brighter than our own Sun.

Sirius is known as the Spiritual Sun, and is believed to hold knowledge and wisdom from higher Divine realms.

When the Sun and Sirius meet during this period, their energies intensify and Earth is able to receive “light energy” from both of these celestial bodies.

Our Sun is already warm and nourishing enough and delivers the energy of life, but imagine what happens when it combines its powers with Sirius.

If we think of this symbolically, it is like planet Earth is being bathed with two of the most powerful lights in the sky.

This light energy can enhance spiritual awakenings, bring about new insights or a new awareness and it can also help to raise the consciousness of the planet.

It is this highly activated and spiritually advanced energy from these stars that help to activate the portal and send an influx of higher vibrational energy for us to use.

The Sun, being in the constellation of Leo which is symbolised by the Lion, is why this star portal is referred to as Lionsgate.

It is also interesting to note that this portal is at its peak on August 8 or 88.

In numerology, 8 is also a powerful number that represents infinity, power, divine connection, rebirth and higher realms.

So, what does all of this mean for you? Here is the message for this year’s Lionsgate-

You must find enjoyment through simply being human.

When our souls came to this Earth we came for a human experience, and many of us are not living up to the fullest potential of our human capabilities.

As humans, we came to explore, to taste, to travel, to live and to experience the emotions and colours of Earth.

But many of us get stuck and trapped in the monotony of day to day living and forget what we came here to truly experience.

While we all have a spiritual core, we need to find more gratitude for the human sides of life.

Being human often gets a bad wrap, but humans are incredible, passionate and compassionate beings that have so much to offer the world.

We need to embrace our humanness and work out what makes us feel most alive.

What makes us feel happy or glad to be alive in our human form? What experiences do we want to have on Earth that make this life worth living?

These are the questions the Lionsgate of 2017 is asking us to explore- we have to get clear about what makes life worth living and then actually put actionable steps into making them happen.

The final message for the Lionsgate of August 2017, is to remove the energetic “pollution” from our bodies. This Lionsgate is going to be very healing and cleansing, as long as we allow this energy to filter in.

A partial lunar eclipse falls just one day before the Lionsgate portal on August 7th in the sign of Aquarius, and we are all going to be called on to let go, heal and release so we can receive the new. (More info on this coming soon. Please subscribe for daily updates.)

In order to receive the highest energy upgrades from the August 2017 Lionsgate portal, be sure to remain a clear and open channel through releasing and letting go of all that no longer serves you.

Prepare To Ride The Tsunami Of Light

Greetings, as always from heart to heart in this moment we speak, I am Kejraj.(KayRy)

The information expressed here is that of my perspective, my point of view. For all truth awaits you in your heart. We hope you FEEL our LIGHT and LOVE in this message.

We have stated previously that the process of ascension of Mother Earth begun in the 1940’s. This is why you have only witnessed two world wars, and will never experience another again. But it was the Illuminatis goal to have a major world war every ten years. Obviously such a thing did not occur with World War 2 being the last one. Once again, this was prevented do to the choice Mother Earth made, to uplift herself and her inhabitants to a higher dimension.

From the 1940’s to around 1960’s there were very small energy changes that happened on our world. These energetic waves slightly started to increase in the late 1960’s. Explanation for peace movements and rise in UFO phenomena.

The barrier somewhat broke, higher light begun entering earth in 1987 with the Galactic/Harmonic Convergence.

Fast forward to 1996, major treaties were signed in favor of humanity and earth, between the Galactic Confederation and that of the once ‘opposing’ side.

One more time, fast forward to 2001. The world was preparing for great changes, the USA in particular. We’ll say the dream was shattered, or only delayed temporarily. We say this, because the light quotient did not stop increasing on Earth. As a matter of fact it gained speed from 2000 and on wards.

We arrive to 2012. Many more major gates and barriers were brought down, this time much greater and more intense waves of light entering Earth from the Galactic Center via our Sol star.

On the Spring Equinox of 2017 the light on Earth reached the highest point since Atlantinian times. Now, from Spring 2017 to the Summer Solstice, this energy has only been intensifying, much faster than in previous years. On the July 9th Full Moon the light quotient once again increased and will continue to do so without slowing down, all the way to the great and so unique Eclipse of August 21, 2017.

The light has long prevailed on Earth, but it is only now that victory will be recognized by all. We say to you now prepare to ride the tsunami of light. For once again the light is about to increase, only this time it will be threefold, continuing all the way to the Autumn Solstice. It will be felt by all, it will cleanse all. It is entirely up to each individual how they choose to experience this energy.

We will however emphasize, spend as much time as possible in nature. Meditate. Eat light, vegetarian diet. Drink plenty of water. Avoid being pulled into negative situations. For there will be many who will ‘snap’, do to the cleansing. Choose your words and activities wisely. Emanate only light/love.

The greater the light the less room there is for darkness, lies, secrets, and all negative ideas of 3D reality. All that which does not serve the Greater Good must come to the surface and be transmuted. It is now that the show truly begins.

Unity is the key to a peaceful, prosperous world. The people of this planet must NOW decide what kind of a world do they want to create and CREATE IT. Humanity wishes to be FREE, at the same time they continue to ‘act like prisoners’. This must end now. The great changes at hand will NOT be postponed any longer.

The Era of Light is now manifesting on Earth whether you are all ready or not but I must say to those who refuse to align with their Divine Selves this transition will be harder on you than the rest.

YOU, the Starseed/Lightworker are here to shine your light now brighter than ever before, for it is greatly needed. This is YOUR moment. Think, speak, be light/love. Breath in light, breath out love. Breath in light, breath out love.

In every thought, word, and action, let love be your intention.
