Kudos to you and your daughter. I do not like the alexa thing either and I am not one to go out and get every tech gadget that comes along. Back in the early 2000's I had a friend who's sister would do just that--get every new tech gadget for her 6 year old son. That was back when the tablets first came out, of course he got one, and some other things as well. I still had the old console tv at my house and the old flip phone and she would make fun on me for not upgrading. I didn't care and would laugh at her for spending all that money when the old one was perfectly fine.
Anyhow, to each their own I guess. But that would infuriate me as well as a parent. I remember when my son bought some rap music that had parental discretion on it (back in the day) and I went with him to take them back because he was underage and I got after the clerk that sold them to my son, for selling them to and underage person.
    We got to hang tough.
