WASHINGTON — Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas is stepping down from two leadership positions following a lawsuit from a former employee who says her sexual assault complaint was mishandled.
Jackson Lee will no longer serve as leader of one of the House Judiciary Committee’s key subcommittees or as head of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the fundraising arm of the Congressional Black Caucus.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., said it was Jackson Lee’s decision to step aside as chairwoman of the House Judiciary Crime Subcommittee.

i think it was m. scott peck who first introduced me to the idea that “mental illness” has at its root a spiritual crisis. trauma. a pained heart. and indeed searching for meaning/connection/Home in the ways of this realm all factor into the crazy that is the mental health diagnosis and industry….

An 18-year-old girl is diagnosed with Anorexia because of her underweight body image. She pleads to remove the diagnosis as this has resulted in years of bullying throughout her schooling. In doing so, she is labeled as defiant and gets a new diagnosis on her chart, “Oppositional Defiant Disorder.”
Following more refusal from any adult professional to hear her case, she retaliates to some persistent bullying and she is told she had a “psychotic break.” The psychiatrist that barely remembers her name writes a new script for Seroquel to control her “psychosis.” This medication makes her drowsy and she cannot function, though the staff member (who is only three years her senior) tells her she needs to wait it out and she can not refuse medication.
So she sleeps past noon, misses breakfast and lunch with the group, and asks if she can have something to eat. She is told, “No, that is just natural consequences.”
Diagnosed with anorexia and then refused a meal? Is this legal? More importantly, is this ethical?
well as i have been saying – quoting heather ann tucci jarraf – when all of the “goodies” begin happening in antarctica, we know we are at the end….my girl also had a dream in recent nights where she was in antarctica watching the ice melt and craft come up and out…..

The U.N. weather agency says an Argentine research base on the northern tip of Antarctica is reporting a temperature that, if confirmed, could amount to a record high for the icy continent.
The World Meteorological Organization said Friday the base has recorded 18.3 degrees Celsius (64.9 Fahrenheit) — topping the former record of 17.5 degrees tallied in March 2015.
WMO says the Antarctic Peninsula on the continent’s northwest tip near South America is among the fastest warming regions on Earth.

The PIT has been here since 2007. In fact, there are multiple PIT's outside due to the amount of material that needed cleaning up. Venus is now visible on the camera. It's been watching ED for months.
i jumped ahead to see what is showing up in the last 24 hours. there’s something there alright – off to the right – and it is on the approach. is it the “pit” as adam says? i don’t know – i honestly have no clue and no feel on this – other than the concept of a “pit” has never resonated w/me even though my brain some moments can see the purpose. and it’s NASA so there’s that.ya’ll know what i say these days “we’ll see….” that’s about as helpful as saying “soon” and “rinse and repeat” but it’s all i have right now…i do find it interesting i was called to revisit the event dream i had a couple of years ago (around this time actually) in particular the view i had looking south where i saw two planets….feeling something is going on….
update: Q is dropping again…..i still feel that the first thing to do is play the Trump card (revealing of John Jr or something equally as big) THEN the people will be more willing to go along w/the fall of the media. bringing down the media without something HUGE and TANGIBLE for all to see – makes no sense to me…
ok so this pence comment below is odd….but it did remind me of the ingersoll lockwood book “The Last President”….last chapter – the capitol is blown up…i continue to feel this book as well as the baron trump’s marvelous understand journey which as i have said prove to me that Trump (and likely his entire family) have used time travel and looking glass – far too many synchs to say otherwise….so – one thing i have not yet commented on but noticed at the SOTU – Trump responded to Pence the way he did Pelosi – he walked in like the Boss – handed over the speech to both (as is protocol) – did not stop to speak or shake hands w/either of them. he then delivered his speech – talking over the boos and noise generated by the Democrat’s and other hecklers – then once done was quite quickly escorted out (more than is the norm) – pausing just a few times to speak/sign items to supporters. body language speaks loudly and i’ve had the ability to be quite good at reading people in this way throughout my life (oh if only i had paid attention to what i was receiving many times – i could have spared myself some unnecessary drama and harm – HA!) so….listening to Trumps voice today – his voice was scratchy and perhaps tired – but i have to say – he has never sounded so commanding and serious as he has this past week. buckle up time is FINALLY HERE.
