It took just four hours of deliberation for a jury to find Nxivm founder Keith Raniere guilty on all counts. He now faces life in prison after being convicted of racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy, forced labor conspiracy, sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and attempted sex trafficking.

President Trump formally launched his 2020 re-election campaign Tuesday night before a jam-packed crowd in Orlando’s Amway Center arena, and quickly unloaded on the media organizations and government actors he said tried their hardest with “everything they had” to bring down both his candidacy and presidency.
To chants of “USA,” Trump took the stage after brief remarks by Vice President Mike Pence and first lady Melania Trump, and recalled his unlikely rise to power.
“We stared down the unholy alliance of lobbyists and donors and special interests who made a living bleeding our country dry,” Trump said. “The swamp is fighting back so viciously and violently. For the last two and a half years, we have been under siege.”
He went on to tout the economy and the planned Space Force, celebrate the “obliteration” of ISIS, and declare that “Republicans believe that every life is a sacred gift from God” amid a newly energized national pro-life movement.

editor victoria’s comment ~ i wanted to add just one comment to what i shared below – the article about the supreme court backing up the christian -oriented baking business’ decision for refusing to bake a cake for a lesbian couple. while i find their personal perspective biased and their business decision quite ridiculous, private biz owners have the right to refuse service to whomever they want and i don’t like the State stepping in and telling businesses who they will be providing services for. i would hold the same feel if this was a black-owned business who refused to serve whites. again – ignorant and not very bright $$ speaking, but the State has no business getting involved and dictating the terms.
