Weird day. Weird, strange times. The blocks around me – feels like I’m NEO in the matrix fending off b.s. I am so financially strapped. My income from this work and my other continues to go down in spite of the intentions I put out there to the contrary. Going back to school will mean $$ (still!!! waiting for people to return my calls with the help for applying for scholarships and grants – made round 2 phone calls today) – and time and I need my $$ situation to have the relief I need now. So yeah – this woman is tired of hearing others on stage pump up their ego’s about how amazing their policies are and how bright things are looking while I’m tired yet focused, drowning $$ yet hopeful – fightin’ with all I have to keep going because, you know, I have a CHILD and this place doesn’t really give a flip about that. If I were a vet…………with a big account…………..bigger audience………..OH yeah – I’ve been asking new people to help promote my writings in the interim – including someone I know personally who is good at marketing- and that is yet another block where I am not hearing back. Seriously – W T F??! I do my nightly intentions – every. day. Ya’ll wouldn’t believe some of the things I’ve been dealing with the last 2 months – I keep some things to myself but my GOD.
Then to top off this time – an order of mine that I really need – through amazon – went to the wrong address – next door – they N E V E R answer their door too. I contacted Amazon – I have to wait 3 more days after a specific time to ask for a redeliver. That’s what happens when you talk with a person over the phone. See their chat was down all afternoon and evening so I finally resorted to getting a call from them. The AI would have taken care of this by now. Perhaps I shall try again with chat when it comes back up.
Can we please just have prices come down? PLEASE? Is there ANYONE out there who hears and can do that for me?

SUBJECT: Department of Defense Security for the Protection of Department of Homeland Security Functions
Numerous incidents of violence and disorder have recently occurred and threaten to continue in response to the enforcement of Federal law by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other United States Government personnel who are performing Federal functions and supporting the faithful execution of Federal immigration laws. In addition, violent protests threaten the security of and significant damage to Federal immigration detention facilities and other Federal property. To the extent that protests or acts of violence directly inhibit the execution of the laws, they constitute a form of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States.
In light of these incidents and credible threats of continued violence, by the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby call into Federal service members and units of the National Guard under 10 U.S.C. 12406 to temporarily protect ICE and other United States Government personnel who are performing Federal functions, including the enforcement of Federal law, and to protect Federal property, at locations where protests against these functions are occurring or are likely to occur based on current threat assessments and planned operations. Further, I direct and delegate actions as necessary for the Secretary of Defense to coordinate with the Governors of the States and the National Guard Bureau in identifying and ordering into Federal service the appropriate members and units of the National Guard under this authority. The members and units of the National Guard called into Federal service shall be at least 2,000 National Guard personnel and the duration of duty shall be for 60 days or at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense. In addition, the Secretary of Defense may employ any other members of the regular Armed Forces as necessary to augment and support the protection of Federal functions and property in any number determined appropriate in his discretion.
To carry out this mission, the deployed military personnel may perform those military protective activities that the Secretary of Defense determines are reasonably necessary to ensure the protection and safety of Federal personnel and property The Secretary of Defense shall consult with the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security prior to withdrawing any personnel from any location to which they are sent. The Secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security may delegate to subordinate officials of their respective Departments any of the authorities conferred upon them by this memorandum.

I have this Raven that continues to visit. This morning as I was making breakfast, I saw him walk up my sidewalk, onto the grass, look at me through the window and squawk – twice. He’s never done that before. So he received his usual treat.
Tonight on a ride my girl and I heard an unusual bird call, stopped to observe and learned from a neighbor who was out enjoying the warm evening that these were woodpeckers – a species I had not heard of (and have since forgotten) – who had migrated from a couple of miles away. Around that time, the Falcon who lives in the nearby Seqouia flew overhead.

So there was a post circulating – getting a lot of attention – I was not able to find documentation verifying it anywhere – turns out it was fake. 😠 Special karma smack for those who spread such b.s.
But the idea is good and is something people need – a penalty – tax-based – on homeowners who rent their properties and jack up the rent at grossly unreasonable levels. It’s a good idea and I want to see this come to fruition. WE still have a “have” and “have nots” and I have YET to see the have nots get any sort of relief. Housing is a right. I part ways with the MAGA folks when it comes to this issue – as well as money – for they are far too individualistic thinking they are somehow immune from facing homelessness when in truth – NO ONE under this system is – no matter how “hard” you work. And I don’t want to see more money for housing vouchers for crappy apartments and run down homes where you must submit to “check ins”. EVERYONE deserves to own their own land and home because the truth is – this land belongs to ALL of us – not just the banks and not just those who have more green paper in hand. Today, overall, was one of “their” days on stage.
