Schumann ~ the gift that keeps on giving…..and some reflections….

editor victoria’s comment ~ i wanted to share a few thoughts now that i’ve listened to Utsava’s latest….i feel more reassured….when i feel beyond my impatience and fear, i feeeeeel things are happening and have been…..i feel the arrests and trials have been going on for awhile…..i feel may/june will bring about a lot of revealing and wrapping up…..i feel by years end the “shit show” will be over…i also feel jfk jr will be on the ticket w/trump….

here is the latest schumann reads………there is a reason this is happening….the increased frequencies adjusting us……..still see some sort of a split taking place by years end……..and no this is not about division it is about what we came here knowing we would be doing/creating…….i feel there is misunderstanding about this term…..what some may see as division, i see as having the REAL freedom to create what you wish (w/the highest/big parts of you that have already done most if not all of that creating)…..

Democrats Strike $2 Trillion Infrastructure Deal With Trump

editor victoria’s comment ~ yes that would be trillion with a “T”….over 10 years ago i discovered an organization made up of civil engineers who took it upon themselves to rate our infrastructure using the school grading system.  at the time i first saw their rating they gave us a D+….they said we needed at least $5 trillion at that time to get us up to par….this is the biggest infrastructure budget i recall seeing since then….makes me wonder what allowed for such an agreement…

New York Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer said Tuesday that he struck a $2 trillion infrastructure deal with President Trump. Schumer, along with other party leaders, met with Trump early Tuesday. Speaking to reporters, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called it a ‘productive meeting.’

“We are very pleased with the positive attitude toward recognizing the trillions of dollars of need,” said Pelosi.

My experience with Select CBD Oil ~ So positive I am now an affiliate!

I began taking this particular brand at the beginning of the month after I was gifted a bottle by one of my Patron’s.  I currently take the 1000mg/bottle dosage and find 25 drops before going to bed makes my sleep longer and deeper.  It helps calm my mind as well.  The best way to describe it is being naturally put to sleep – the way nature intended.  I started slow – 2 drops at first, then worked my way up.

What is CBD?  CBD stands for Cannabidiol.  It is a compound that interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system. These receptors regulate pain, mood, memory, stress, the immune system, appetite and other important functions.

Spectrum offers a variety of flavors.  I currently use the unflavored (although there is a slight green taste you can taste if you leave it in your mouth for a bit – which I do now and then).  All of their products are Lab Tested by a certified lab out of Portland, Oregon.  (see below for the certification label on my particular bottle)  No THC.  Hemp-derived.  The only ingredients they use in their oils are Hemp-Derived CBD oil, Essential oil and Fractionated coconut oil.   (fmi on fractionated coconut oil, here’s an article explaining what it is)

As I said, I liked this product so much I decided to become an Affiliate.  If you would like to try Select CBD’s all natural CBD extract and essential oil blended products, you can check them out here:  And if you have questions, please use the Contact menu at the top of this page.
Here’s to our healing!
With love and gratitude,
Victoria

For thousands of years, humans slept in two shifts. Should we do it again?

editor victoria’s comment ~ i align with this and have long thought our way of “sleeping” was off with the real needs of the body.  (even though “modern science” says otherwise….)

Researchers believe that the practice of sleeping through the whole night didn’t really take hold until just a few hundred years ago.

She was wide awake and it was nearly two in the morning. When asked if everything was alright, she said, “Yes.” Asked why she couldn’t get to sleep she said, “I don’t know.” Neuroscientist Russell Foster of Oxford might suggest she was exhibiting “a throwback to the bi-modal sleep pattern.” Research suggests we used to sleep in two segments with a period of wakefulness in-between.

A. Roger Ekirch, historian at Virginia Tech, uncovered our segmented sleep history in his 2005 book At Day’s Close: A Night in Time’s Past. There’s very little direct scientific research on sleep done before the 20th century, so Ekirch spent years going through early literature, court records, diaries, and medical records to find out how we slumbered. He found over 500 references to first and second sleep going all the way back to Homer’s Odyssey. “It’s not just the number of references—it is the way they refer to it as if it was common knowledge,” Ekirch tells BBC.

“He knew this, even in the horror with which he started from his first sleep, and threw up the window to dispel it by the presence of some object, beyond the room, which had not been, as it were, the witness of his dream.” — Charles Dickens, Barnaby Rudge (1840)

Here’s a suggestion for dealing with depression from English ballad ‘Old Robin of Portingale’:

“And at the wakening of your first sleepe/You shall have a hott drinke made/And at the wakening of your next sleepe/Your sorrowes will have a slake.”

Two-part sleep was practiced into the 20th century by people in Central America and Brazil and is still practiced in areas of Nigeria.

Night split in half

Segmented sleep—also known as broken sleep or biphasic sleep—worked like this:

  • First sleep or dead sleep began around dusk, lasting for three to four hours.
  • People woke up around midnight for a few hours of activity sometimes called “the watching.” They used it for things like praying, chopping wood, socializing with neighbors, and for sex. A 1500s character in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales posited that the lower classes had more children because they used the waking period for procreation. In fact, some doctors recommended it for making babies. Ekirch found a doctor’s reference from 16th century France that said the best time to conceive was not upon first going to bed, but after a restful first sleep, when it was likely to lead to “more enjoyment” and when lovers were more likely to “do it better.”
  • “Second sleep,” or morning sleep, began after the waking period and lasted until morning.

Rod Rosenstein Resigns

editor victoria’s comment ~ effective may 11th…..we knew this was coming months ago ala “Q”….

******

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein submitted his resignation to Monday, bringing to a close a tumultuous two years at the helm of the Mueller investigation that saw him alternatively enrage President Donald Trump and anti-Trumpers left. Rosenstein had been rumored to be on his way out of the Justice Department for months—and throughout the ups and downs of the special counsel investigation always seemed precarious in the job—but will officially leave his post, on his own terms, on May 11.

The resignation letter reads as an affirmation of some of the achievements that Rosenstein believes have been accomplished during his tenure at the DOJ. The note also has a number of more cryptic passages that are either aimed at Trump himself or as a reminder of the principles that the Justice Department aims to embody. “I am grateful to you for the opportunity to serve; for the courtesy and humor you often display in our personal conversations; and for the goals you set in your inaugural address: patriotism, unity, safety, education, and prosperity, because ‘a nation exists to serve its citizens,’ ” Rosenstein wrote in his resignation letter. “We enforce the law without fear or favor because credible evidence is not partisan, and truth is not determined by opinion polls. We ignore fleeting distractions and focus our attention on the things that matter because a republic that endures is not governed by the news cycle. We keep the faith, we follow the rules, and we always put America first.”
