Watching a pretty mainstream cable show with my daughter to play catch-up for the next season coming up.  Saw some comms – use of the number 17, then these brief statements that come in quickly including “those phones you are on which the government is tracking you” and my favorite:  “with this simulation we so clearly live in” (that one was said by a high school kid during a speech – something that this character would never say given he is so mainstream/3d).

Energy – seem to be either energized and able to DO then crash and burn time where I just sit and watch the sky.  It’s 7/11 – slurpee day.  Did anything shift out there?  Let’s go find out, shall we?

In July 2025, Antarctica experienced a significant heat anomaly, with parts of East Antarctica experiencing temperatures 36 to 50 degrees (20 to 30 Celsius) above average for a prolonged period. This heat wave was notable for its duration, with temperatures significantly above average for most of the month. The South Pole station experienced its warmest July since 2002, and Vostok station saw its warmest July since 2009. While some areas experienced extreme cold earlier in the month, the overall trend was one of exceptional warmth.
