Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday revealed that the Justice Department would be giving Chicago law enforcement additional resources to help combat crime and also filed a brief in opposition to a proposal to reform city policing practices.
In large cities like Chicago, the duty to maintain “public safety, security and order” generally falls upon their police departments, Sessions said in a news release from the Justice Department.
“There is one government institution, and one alone, that has the ability to make Chicago safer – that is the Chicago Police Department,” Sessions said. “Our goal should be to empower it to fulfill its duties, not to restrict its proper functioning or excessively demean the entire department for the errors of a few. Make no mistake: Unjustified restrictions on proper policing and disrespect for our officers directly led to this tragic murder surge in Chicago.”

editor’s note: saw him speak about this. i know he’s controlled – but still – the term “spineless” comes to mind. i saw the video footage – the police allowed violent behavior (from verbal abuse/threats to vehicle damage) by protester’s against motorists simply trying to get to their destination – including senior citizens. it was disgusting behavior. so much for protect and serve ALL…

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler came under fire over a viral video showing antifa protesters blocking traffic and harassing drivers, but he says he supports the decision by police to watch from a distance without getting involved.
“I was appalled by what I saw in the video, but I support the Portland Police Bureau’s decision not to intervene,” he said at a press conference. “This whole incident will be investigated.”
The video posted by journalist Andy C. Ngo showed protesters, including members of antifa and Black Lives Matter, blocking an intersection and attempting to direct traffic at while officers on motorcycle watched from a block away.
At one point, the activists chased down 74-year-old Kent Houser after he made a right turn against their wishes, pounding on his silver Lexus and breaking a window. The car sustained thousands of dollars in damage, he told the Oregonian.

editor’s note: thank you Patricia for linking this one. i have seen videos linked claiming “this is jfk jr’s son” – who would be about 18 now IF Carolyn was 3-4 months pregnant at the time of the alleged (didn’t happen the way we were told) plane crash. i have yet to confirm she was pregnant in my research and now i cannot recall where i read/learned of that – will have to explore that further from those claiming she was. i can understand how that info would have been kept away from the media for the privacy desire of both john and carolyn.
so…..these videos keep coming up on my twitter feeds and i have chosen not to explore that yet – until today when i finally surrendered and complied. lol anyway – i watched it – and i did see an immediate resemblance between both Carolyn and JFK Jr – not just in the smile, eyes and bone structure – more than anything though i saw a definite grace about him that both of his parents had/have. just something energetically i saw in him reminded me of both of his parents. he also holds himself in the same way as his father – the lowering of the head w/that quiet smile. I also remember the first dream I had of the two of them – and John Jr. patted Carolyn’s hip and said “besides – I have a little bambino to take care of now”. italian for male child.
