Listening to a video about some dude from China, saying his paycheck goes his mortgage and food and there is nothing left to save. My girl and I took a trip to the local Kroger Box Store to do what I call “dream shopping”. Looking around at the clothes, over 3/4 which were 30-60% off, including newly arriving items for fall. So many deals but I simply don’t have the budget for such things. In fact, I realized with a heavy heart that the last time I took her clothes shopping was last fall. She had a few dollars on her and found an adorable little toy collection – from her childhood – that we both “ooooh how cute i remember those!” engaged in. 50% off. Smile on her face. Mama and child happy.
On the way home she asked me if I’ve ever seen the economy like this. I told her I hadn’t and added the last time money was this tight was about 17 years ago after I lost my job at the local University, was unable to find another job before my unemployment ran out and we resorted to visiting the food bank; the dollar store became my source for Vitamins C and B. So even though I had no income and we were finding ways to bring in money (because the entire world had not gone to sheot) as compared to today when I HAVE an income but utilities, insurance and food are literally taking it all now.
And congress continues to push to raise the debt ceiling, both parties just different numbers, and patriots tell us to hold the line and trust the plan. Most of these folks however are nowhere near as strapped as others of us are and in fact many seem to be just fine, showing off recently created greenhomes on their land, steak dinner for the family on their fancy bbq’s and then we had someone show Trump playing golf today.

Synchronicities’ today. My girl and I have had this affinity for Dirty Dancing lately and recently watched it. Again. The songs have stayed with us. On a bike ride today, we heard live music. A very nice card to end this 3-card read. And I take the answer to my question as an affirmative. We’d all just like to know the WHEN at this point, right?

I just remembered the dream I had last night. Ivanka was in it – a first. I was talking with her – as a mom – and said I was noticing certain things I once thought were rocks were actually plastic objects created to look like rocks – movie set fakery. I mentioned “simulation” and she nodded and said, “oh yes I know about that”.
