Editor Victoria’s comment:  i completely understand the need to close the border.  i understand the concern for the militant groups included in this caravan.  i understand how this was planned and organized and paid for by special interest groups who still wish to see the demise of this country.  and yet my heart also cries for the innocent children and their families who are being USED in all of this.  i sure hope all of them escape any harm.  as for those who have ill intent and for those who helped plan this – lock ’em up!

Paid Protest Firm “Crowds On Demand” Sued In $23 Million Extortion Plot

“Paid protesters are real,” writes the Los Angeles Times, after a lawsuit filed by a Czech investor against a business rival spotlighted the seedy, and very real business of people hired to express fake outrage, support, and everything in between.

According to a lawsuit filed by investor Zdenek Bakala, Prague-based investment manager Pavol Krupa hired Beverly hills company Crowds on Demand (COD) to stage a protest near Bakala’s home in Hilton Head, SC.

In the Bakala case, Crowds on Demand is accused of spreading misinformation through a website, putting on protests and organizing a phone and email campaign targeting several U.S. institutions with ties to Bakala, who got an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and had an estimated net worth topping $1 billion earlier this decade, according to Forbes. –LA Times

Crowds on Demand provides pop-up “protests, rallies, flash mobs, paparazzi events and other inventive PR stunts,” according to its website.

The dispute between Bakala and Krupa goes back for several years, and has been the subject of inquiries by the European Commission and the Czech government, involving a formerly state-owned coal mining business, OKD, which Bakala assumed control of in 2004. Bakala has been accused of bribing officials to buy the government’s equity in the mining company at a below-market price, which broke a promise to sell company-owned apartments to employees before the company ultimately filed for bankruptcy in 2016.

According to Bakala, the COD smear campaign didn’t stop there, claiming that the company also called and sent emails to the Aspen Institute and Dartmouth College, where Bakala sits on advisory boards, urging them to cut ties with him. Bakala claims that Krupa threatened to ramp up the COD campaign unless the Czech investor coughs up $23 million.

The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Sunday that Hurricane Willa due to make a landfall in Central Mexico on Tuesday.

The center also added that hurricane is rapidly strengthening into a powerful storm.

The NHC said that hurricane Willa, located about 250 miles southwest of Cabo Corrientes, on the coast of Jalisco state, is set to become a Category 4 storm on the 5-step Saffir-Simpson hurricane scale by the time it reaches land.

Meanwhile, AP reported that Hurricane Willa strengthens into Category 3 storm as it heads for western Mexico.

DOJ, Sessions announce Chicago will get additional law enforcement resources, filed opposition to consent decree

Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday revealed that the Justice Department would be giving Chicago law enforcement additional resources to help combat crime and also filed a brief in opposition to a proposal to reform city policing practices.

In large cities like Chicago, the duty to maintain “public safety, security and order” generally falls upon their police departments, Sessions said in a news release from the Justice Department.

“There is one government institution, and one alone, that has the ability to make Chicago safer – that is the Chicago Police Department,” Sessions said. “Our goal should be to empower it to fulfill its duties, not to restrict its proper functioning or excessively demean the entire department for the errors of a few. Make no mistake: Unjustified restrictions on proper policing and disrespect for our officers directly led to this tragic murder surge in Chicago.”

editor’s note:  saw him speak about this.  i know he’s controlled – but still – the term “spineless” comes to mind.  i saw the video footage – the police allowed violent behavior (from verbal abuse/threats to vehicle damage) by protester’s against motorists simply trying to get to their destination – including senior citizens.  it was disgusting behavior.  so much for protect and serve ALL…

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler came under fire over a viral video showing antifa protesters blocking traffic and harassing drivers, but he says he supports the decision by police to watch from a distance without getting involved.

“I was appalled by what I saw in the video, but I support the Portland Police Bureau’s decision not to intervene,” he said at a press conference. “This whole incident will be investigated.”

The video posted by journalist Andy C. Ngo showed protesters, including members of antifa and Black Lives Matter, blocking an intersection and attempting to direct traffic at while officers on motorcycle watched from a block away.

At one point, the activists chased down 74-year-old Kent Houser after he made a right turn against their wishes, pounding on his silver Lexus and breaking a window. The car sustained thousands of dollars in damage, he told the Oregonian.

Hamptons millionaires build luxe panic rooms to hide from MS-13

There is a specter haunting the Hamptons — one that’s turning some of the priciest properties in the country into fortresses equipped with bulletproof glass, weaponry and panic rooms.

“I sleep with a gun underneath my pillow: a Walther PPK/S, the same one James Bond carried,” said John Catsimatidis, owner of Red Apple Group and Gristedes Foods, who has a vacation property in East Quogue. “[My wife] Margo prefers a shotgun. Although, once, she thought she heard something, got the shotgun out and shot through the door.”

The billionaire and his family, like others in the Hamptons, are shaken up over concerns that the vicious Salvadorian gang MS-13 is too close for comfort. In April, members of the gang massacred four young men behind a soccer field in Central Islip. Three months later, a Hampton Bays brothel raided by police was found to be tagged with an MS-13 sign. And in 2016, a man with MS-13 connections broke into a Southampton home and sexually assaulted a woman.

Last year, Southampton Town Police Chief Steven Skrynecki publicly expressed concern that the gang might spread further east. When he deployed police equipped with antiterrorism gear, including automatic weapons, along the perimeters of summer 2017 charity galas, locals took note.

“Doctors at a Syracuse hospital came within inches of harvesting the organs of a live woman who woke on the operating table, despite previous reports by nurses indicating she was alive.

Doctors at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center mistakenly ruled that Colleen S. Burns, 41, had suffered a cardiac death in October 2009, according to records published Sunday by the Syracuse Post-Standard behind a $22,000 fine issued by the state department of health.”

I make the following FEW (of many) comments/notes/highlights/overlights, with these two points in heart:
1. What you sent me for review is an article; and, link to article sent 
2. I have not viewed the OIG report that is the point of topic in said article. [attempting again to send her the contents of OIG reports- BZ]

The points that the article cover regarding the conditions and treatment of ONLY female inmates, are the tamest points that femal inmates experience…and if the general public actually saw, knew, or experienced the totality of what female inmates do, the penal systems in America would not exist, and answers would be demanded from the DOJ as to the human rights abuses they allow, encourage, and “policy” to be practiced in said facilities.

“Damnable” and “horrifying”, in my professional opinion and experiences, are tame words to use to describe the conditions and treatments inflicted on female inmates in the penal systems operating in America. What is most concerning is there is no true recourse or remedy for any of the female inmates while they are in custody, and no effective assistance possible from their attorneys, if they even have one…and by some accounts, those factors and more, have fatal results…and by many accounts, permanently crippling results.

From informed experience and investigations, many men and women that are in the penal systems, should not be there. There are more instances than I care to recall, where “criminal procedures”, “criminal process”, and “due process” were not followed, not even a little bit…where those thought to have been delegated authority to enforce “laws”, could not even follow said “laws” themselves, and with the most heinous flair. Couple that with the infamous “shame and shun” societal programming when the purported “inmates” are released, which “China” has now taken beyond extremes, and you have guaranteed infite market for “prison bonds”.

Are there situations where measures must be taken to keep all beings safe and protected…yes, for the here and now…however, the situations are manufactured at the highest levels, and inherent in the very systems and the manner of application of said systems the people use daily…coupled with an unaware populous…and corrupt enforcement…I could speak for weeks on that topic alone…and I will leave it until the appropriate moment and forum.

During this operation, I had to bite my tongue from gushing forth apologies, and blink my eyes repeatedly to stop the tears for all that was experienced by ALL purported inmates.

I choose to focus on all I can to change it…and I am <3
