Whatever was in the mix today has made us all feel docile. Sleepy. Dizzy. Almost high. Two x’s were laid back-to-back. Going to do another detox. Shall I say it? That I’m done with their b.s. Clearly, that is obvious.
Also have a sense we’ve lost approximately 36 hours or so on the mechanical clock program. I feeeeeeeel that in my body. There are no more Wednesdays – just Thursdays into Friday. That began over a year or so ago. (Could be less, could be longer – my sense of time is, you know). Ghosting is conflict avoidance dressed up as an exit strategy.
It’s choosing your own comfort over someone else’s dignity.
It’s deciding that the discomfort of an honest conversation is worth more than the closure another person deserves.
That’s not a communication style.
That’s emotional immaturity with good wifi.
Because here’s what a healed person does when something isn’t working..
They show up.
Not perfectly. Not with all the right words. Not without discomfort.
But they show up.
They say “this isn’t working for me” instead of disappearing into thin air.
They say “I can’t give you what you need” instead of leaving someone to spend weeks wondering what they did wrong.
They understand that how you leave someone says everything about how much you’ve done the work.
And ghosting?
Ghosting says you haven’t.
Now here’s the part that cuts both ways….
If you’ve been ghosted.. their silence was never a reflection of your worth. It was a reflection of their capacity.
You deserved the conversation. You deserved the honesty. You deserved to be treated like someone whose feelings were worth five uncomfortable minutes.
And if you’ve been the one who ghosted..
This isn’t about shame.
It’s an invitation.
To ask yourself why the disappearing act felt easier than the truth. To get curious about what about conflict feels so unsafe that silence became the answer.
Because the moment honest conversations stop feeling like threats..
Everything about the way you love changes.
Healed people are not perfect people.
