A Prayer for Humanity – In these times, we all need this. I poured my heart into this prayer for peace, unity, and healing for our world. We continue to be told how things are getting better. How jobs are returning. How much we, the people, are “winning”. And while gas did drop $1.00/gallon here in my area, the cost of ground hamburger jumped $1.00/lb. I listened to the jobs report tonight on the radio. Not so good.
So not much “winning,” my friends, right?
And as I see story after story of challenges and serious financial struggles on my little route I take online each day, mostly for work on my other website but also to check in on my many friends scattered throughout the world, I am left sitting with a giant sigh in my Soul needing release.
Is this “gaslighting” to keep us going?
I hope so.
But since I cannot say either way, the only thing I feel called to do at this moment is to write up a poetic prayer for every single one of you. For us. May the challenges shift to abundance. With ease. With Grace.
My Prayer for Humanity
There is a gentle, powerful Light that holds the Souls of this world.
I call it in now to hear the hearts, heavy from the burdens,
wiping away the tears seen and unseen, tears that fall where hope has diminished.
Hidden fears that line the lonely roads of struggle and suffering.
To every Soul that wakes with empty hands, bank accounts, bare food shelves
To every child whose belly aches with hunger at sundown
To every elderly, wise soul, alone, longing for simpler times past
To every human heart that is fighting their unseen fights:
I call in the Light to bring you Courage that rises like the dawn each morning, wiping away the darkness of the night.
I call in the Light to bring you Strength to rise from the places in your heart and mind that feel cracked and worn.
I call in the Light to surround you with kindness, compassion and generosity in your hardest moments.
I call in the Light to wrap you in its protective, warm embrace, filling in those lonely, frightening moments when all feels lost, your Soul so weary, so cold.
I call in the Light to remind you: YOU ARE NOT LOST.
You are still here with your heart beating.
Your breath alone is proof that this storm will pass. It WILL break.
I call in the Light to remind you: YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
For each whisper from the Soul, each movement, each “YES”, no matter how small, is enough to move that mountain.
May generous hands appear when you are too weak to lift your own.
May doors once closed open with ease.
May peace of mind replace thoughts of doubt and despair.
May the Light that is within You fill you with quiet hope.
You, beautiful Soul, so loved, even in your darkest moments, even when you feel you cannot take one. more. step. forward, may you be lifted up into that Divine Light to remind you just who the heaven you are.
Reminding you that love knows no bounds.
No ends.
For the world IS brighter because OF that Light within you.
May that Divine Light meet you where you are.
Fulfill your needs, whatever they are.
Heal what needs healing.
And most of all,
may that Divine Light speak to your heart,
reminding you that you are seen.
You are loved.
And you are enough.
Amen.
