WASHINGTON—A top FBI official who helped oversee two politically sensitive investigations related to the 2016 presidential campaign is retiring from government service.

Bill Priestap, who currently serves as assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s counterintelligence division, will leave his post by the end of the year. Mr. Priestap, a 20-year veteran of the bureau, worked on organized crime and drug cases in Chicago before rising through the national security ranks of the agency after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Mr. Priestap’s retirement is unrelated to the controversies over the handling of the 2016 investigations, according to a person familiar with the matter. He “became eligible to retire and has chosen to do so after 20 years of service,” the FBI said in a statement.

Mueller recommends no jail time for Flynn, citing his ‘substantial assistance’

Special counsel Robert Mueller on Tuesday asked a federal court for no prison time for President Trump‘s former national security adviser Michael Flynn, citing his “substantial assistance” in the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.

In a court filing late Tuesday, Mueller said it would be “appropriate” for the judge to impose a sentence for Flynn that does not include prison time. Federal sentencing guidelines called for Flynn to be sentenced to between zero and six months in prison and face up to a $9,500 fine.

“The offense level and guideline range, however, do not account for a downward departure pursuant to Section 5K1.1 of the United States Sentencing Guidelines reflecting the defendants substantial assistance to the government, which the government has moved for contemporaneously,” Mueller’s prosecutors wrote in a filing on Monday.

UPDATE:  spaceshot76 put out a video (3:15 mark) showing the time to be 2:00pm. don’t know the link he used – the one i linked below is still showing 2:00am. likely just a typo.  or confusion as it did come from a democrat website.

More than 400 ex-DOJ officials sign letter protesting Whitaker

More than 400 former officials and attorneys from the Department of Justice (DOJ) have signed a letter opposing acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker and calling for him to be replaced, saying that they are “disturbed” by his appointment.

The DOJ alumni, who say they have worked in several past administrations under presidents from both parties, note in the open letter that Whitaker hasn’t been confirmed by the Senate and that he hasn’t been “fully vetted” for potential conflicts of interests.

“The Attorney General is responsible for ensuring that we are a nation of laws and that every citizen and every government official — including the President himself — is equally subject to those laws,” the letter reads.

“Because of the profound responsibilities the position entails and the independence it requires, it can only be filled by someone who has been subjected to the strictest scrutiny under the process required by the Constitution,” it adds.

Protests call for Macron’s resignation as France comes to the brink of state of emergency

French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday would not rule out imposing a state of emergency as nationwide economic protests turned violent in the capital, Paris.

Macron was forced to fly home from the G-20 summit in Argentina for an emergency huddle with advisers on how to quell the worst civil unrest to grip the City of Light in a decade.

Thousands have taken to the streets, with some torching cars and scrawling anti-government graffiti on cultural icons such as the Arc de Triomphe.

Macron, 40, was greeted with boos and chants of “Macron resign” as he surveyed damage on the 2-century-old monument to France’s war dead Sunday.

The Q drop referencing for people to “watch sean hannity tonight” ~ not what i/we thought

 

i decided to explore the 8chn boards to see what this Qdrop from earlier today was about – watch sean hannity tonight at 9pm.  i saw people speaking of tonight’s show and how hannity glorified #41.  [wp-svg-icons icon=”tongue” wrap=”i”] turned my stomach so i decided to explore further.  first the tweet looked strange – turns out it isn’t an authentic potus account – no blue check mark.  and second – well just follow some of the links below.  i still haven’t a clue what it was in reference to nor why it would be shared given it isn’t an authentic twitter account of POTUS.  too much for me to look into any further.  that being said – if you are interested and have a twitter account – you can go to POTUS account and see the 22 second video he linked honoring #41 where there were no pictures of #41 – no pictures of his family – and most of it was POTUS walking up to the casket and giving a quick salute.  just found that interesting…..anyway below is the link of the discussion taking place on that particular drop….

Thus, we of the human race are made privy to every and all energies who have sought to puppet us and, now, with all such information having been brought to light, we are no longer able to be manipulated, but instead we are free to live out our own destiny without the interference and intrusion of others regardless of where they come from.
