How are we feeling today? Last night I went to bed and was calm and centered. However I could not go to sleep. About 20 minutes into just lying there wondering why I couldn’t drift off, this wave of anxiety came over me, causing me to tremble. Don’t know what that was about. Today the energy had a “meh” feel to it. It feels as though the energy is transitioning back to chaotic. It is indeed back and forth now – or up and down – however you want to put it and after feeling a “lull” I feel we are picking up speed again.
I did a lot of physical things today to move the energy in my body, including wailing away on my punching bag. Unfortunately I have hit it so many times, it deflates after about 80 strikes, so I contacted the company and asked if I could just by the reflex bag instead of the entire unit. Dancing is helping me too. Some days, it’s yoga and stretching. Other days – like today – more physical movement is needed.

In this dream, I was watching television and President Trump was speaking. There was someone behind him; I could see just a portion of someone standing there. President Trump looked to the right and leaned a little, and when he did, I saw JFK Jr. In the dream, I said, “He’s alive,” and then woke up.
Another friend had a similar dream where she was watching television and he was speaking.

On the energies – Friday, did a fair bit, although I felt that the angry mode was not far below the surface, some if the animals were a bit annoying earlier in the day, (although, the neighbors were quiet,
so there was that) , and I got tired in the afternoon, but, overall not a bad day.

Related to this…Hubs was reviewing the School Board agenda for Monday, last night.
The new HS Principal has been selected, he was one of the Vice Principals. This is the right decision.
Great progress from the Board.
However, there are two Directors, and the District Admin who need to step up and do THEIR jobs – instead of sticking their fingers in other folks pies. So, still work to do on that front.
With a new Superintendant, a new Principal, and a motivated conservative School Board, hoping this coming school year will sort all that out.
One of the things I disliked when hubs started at this school, was the fact that there was NO defined employee handbook… that is also now being addressed.
Transparency, clear communication, and defined expectations – go a long way to creating a good working environment, because evils operatives find it very hard to hide in an environment like this.
On the chick front, I just read that the egg incubation period starts 24 hours AFTER the hen starts to sit, and that the Black Copper Maran eggs may take up to 23 days (not the usual 21) to hatch, as they are larger eggs, with thick shells… so we still have a couple of days.
I also read that anything from 55 – 65% is considered a normal hatch rate, I am hoping for 5 – 6 hens, and, one cockrell (I would like to breed my Australorp and Black Sex Link, which are great egg layers, and big enough to be good meat birds too.) But, I may end up with 5 cockrells, and one hen! Thats ok, we can rehome them, or, turn them into dinner…
So, I will be checking in regularly on the broody today.

I had a dream about John last year .
A few years ago I took Jorden Peterson’s personality test( I highly recommend it)
To get to know myself better and then forgot about it. I took it online. Then Jorden grades it and sends the results back . I forgot all about it years went by .
I had this dream I was sitting casually on a sofa in a public place and John walked over ( I recognized him ) he pulled up a chair and he was looking at some papers in his hand while we exchanged hellos , he looked at me and said “ I want to talk to you about this personality test you took” is that OK?
I was very comfortable discussing it
It was fun but professional even though I did laugh a lot then my alarm went off . That dream felt so real to me.
Well, so far, today has been faily quiet. the highlight so far being one chick hatched! Mom appears to be very attentive and has stayed put in the pet carrier all day. Hoping we will have more chicks very soon.
Most adorable little thing.
Hubs is cracking on with the frame for the coop/chicken tractor, although I had to rein in the amount of metal he was using – even with wheels – it would become too heavy for me at the rate the frame was developing… he was a bit narked about that, (he wants more citting/welding) so I left him to it.
The old coop will be moved, and reserved for any roosters that appear, once the hens reach laying age – 4 months.
It needs a bit of TLC, so the new one arrived in good time.
Just rehydrating now, before doing the rest of todays jobs.
They are forecasting low 100s next week – so it’ll be earlier starts, and I may bring the hen and chicks into the garage – we will see how they do – it’s supposed to get to 95 today.
