Interesting! I found something similar happening at the Heliplot site at Funafuti, Tuvalu on the 23rd (pretty much current as I write this). https://earthquake.usgs.gov/static/earthquake-network-operations/Seismic_Data/telemetry_data/FUNA_24hr.html Funafuti, Tuvalu is in the Pacific northeast of Australia and about due east of Papua New Guinea.
Checking further, I found similar patterns happening in various other locations in the Pacific plus one in Mali (Africa). I have no idea what this all means. Very interesting, indeed.
