Drought and bushfire affected areas in parts of New South Wales and Queensland are set to be hit by severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall.

As catastrophic fires burn across the country, a warning has been issued for the Northern Tablelands with another trough further to the west extending from western Queensland.

A warning has been issued for severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours.

Locations which may be affected include Armidale, Glen Innes, Ebor, Guyra, Walcha and Uralla.

some information on presidential powers and military action:
“The War Powers Resolution of 1973 gives a president 60 days to obtain congressional approval after making foreign military strikes and informing Congress “within 48 hours.” Otherwise, he then has another 30 days to cease the operations.

The Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF), passed a week after the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001, allowed the president to “use all necessary and appropriate force” against those involved in the attacks. Since then, presidents have used the Bush-era law to justify military action in the Middle East.”  (SOURCE)

The way I see this – at this point – is that Iranian forces attacked the U.S. Embassy in Iran.  U.S. forces then fought back.  Iran made the declaration of war (as they have been threatening to do for months).  I don’t see this as the US declaring war.  I see this as US Forces protecting its “property”.  As this man puts it:

don’t ask.  i have no clue what this could be an indication of.  17 hours – is this a message?  is it a “jump”?  is the consciousness behind this benevolent/supportive for humanity?  i slept well – overall – much better than the previous night.  mate said he slept very deep and girl says the same.

Brief Reflection for 1/2/20

 

well considering i just spoke the words of the title to myself and it came out “bwief wefwection” – that is a good indicator of how tired and other-worldly i feel today.  it is largely due to last night’s sleep.  no one in this house slept well.  i felt very agitated and could not sooth myself much less feel comfortable.  we spoke with a couple other people (one nearby and another further away) who commented how awful they slept last night.  in fits.  finally at around 5am, i dosed up on another round of CBD oil, ate some noodles, drank some OJ and was able to sleep for a few hours.

my body also feels – weird.  unusual pains.  that could be due to grief showing up.  we have been spending the last couple of days going through some of our grandpa d’s belongings to pick out things we want.  this is a difficult thing to do and feels invasive – even though i know he would be fine with it.  he was and is a very generous Soul.  both my mate and i were having the same experience and we both heard “hell, help yourself” – which is exactly what he would have said.  there was really just one tool of his i really wanted – and i looked for it for a good hour.  it wasn’t until the end that i finally took a moment and asked him for some help.  i was guided to look in an unusual spot – the linen closet – but there it was in the top drawer among some linens.

there is a sense of finality now which brings a sense of peace along with a very quiet but deep sadness.

that’s all for now.  i am tossed between wanting to be alone in quiet – and watching something funny.  as i would respond when i was a kid and asked to pick between two things:  “i pick both!”
