And listen to music that makes you feel good.
Anyone like old elevator-style music from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s? Check out the Retro Cocktail Hour. I have listened to it now and then on a local radio channel, but I didn’t think to see if they have 24/7 streaming.
They do.
Listening tonight.
Taking me back to a time when I didn’t know. Although I had the sense now and then, my child brain didn’t comprehend, so I lived in blissful ignorance. Quiet times at home. Weekends. Hi-fi playing music like this.

Tonight I am going back in time.
To a place – a space – where all of “that” was hidden from most eyes.
When purchasing power was in full.
Life was affordable.
Homes. Food. Cars.
Outdoor barbecues.
Slip ‘n slides on the lawns during hot summer months.
Kids playing in the streets until the street lamps came on, being bored.
No 24/7 activities. No “play dates”.
Capturing fireflies in glass jars.
Block parties.
Roller rinks.
Penny candy.
Phones that we couldn’t carry around with us.
Answering machines.
Skies that were blue and free of forest fire smoke.
S’mores around the campfire.
S & W Green Stamps.
Privacy.
Aaahhh.
