To respond:
Do not tell me how to “be”. I have a story, and I will share it but only if you will show me patience (and compassion and an open mind/heart). And/or ask what you can do to help because, you know, yeah, DONE with the b.s. judgment and being passed off onto “their” systems. That is NOT a quick fix and as I’ve said you have to be consistent – be the loudest voice or you will get lost in that very system.
See number one.
Then help the mama(s) so she/we can do the things we/she wants TO do for her/our child.
That’s what Love looks like. Don’t kick someone when they are fighting not to drown. Unless you know the story in detail, be kind and supportive or choose silence.
A recent conversation with someone who is more or less not “awake” but saying the same – focus on keeping their children safe and away from the absolute insanity of our world now. My comment was things we were not aware of are being seen now and that I feel everything will be good and safe for our future. It actually provided her comfort, which felt good in my heart. 🙏 Going out tonight – more people in the entrances of the store, holding signs, “anything helps”. We have reached critical mass for the “enough is enough we are all exhausted”.

I’ve been quite focused on very basic life tasks. Phone calls, emails, researching, seeking legal advice, information on services. Having your housing threatened has a tendency to make you singularly focused, caught up in a whirlwind of mental tasks and focus: You might just miss those moments of heart.
As Ferris Bueller once said in that infamous movie, that infamous quote: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
I had such a realizing moment, just last night. I was busy, focused on a research task, having had one of my “oh yeah I should look that up” thoughts, when I heard my daughter playing the piano in the other room. She wasn’t just playing the piano, she was playing a new song. A song she had picked up on her own.

Ya’ll should see my desk. Notebooks and lists and sticky notes. After the latest nonsense, my brain has had to take some time to chill, calm and remember the myriad of things I had already been pursuing. I remembered there is a particular program I can apply for – many examples of them (just can’t double-dip) – and that I had made contact with someone back in May or so (and at that it took awhile to speak to a live person) who after a few weeks called and asked if I was still interested (YES!) and could she send me an email (YES!). Email arrives, I respond back with a YES to an assessment. Last week I received another email from her, assuming it was an assessment appointment. Nope. It was the same email asking if I wanted to do an assessment. Generic. 🙄😠 So I wrote back and said YES again – while adding in that we already had this conversation. Today I realized hey, I haven’t heard back yet. So did the squeaky wheel thing and told my new person that I need to get going NOW on these programs.

Finished my part yesterday in getting some info updated – wrote my contact person #2 saying I did my part now it’s up to her to guide me as to what to do next.
This is nuts folks. My empathy for those who have been struggling to get seen and help has gone through the roof. It ain’t easy out there. I want others who are not in that kind of position to know that person struggling may have just gotten lost in the system. They may be on wait lists. They may have applied and now wait to be contacted. You never know – always best to ask what they need. Me? At this point other than money and the system help to step it up and get me going on paperwork doings, I’d love an assistant – someone keeping track of all of this “stuff” for me. Or at least helping me – reminding me “hey did you do this yet?”
So much abundance out there being hoarded like fuch away from good people. I cringe when I see the vacant homes around here. With today’s housing crisis, those with real estate holdings sitting empty – yeah – please step it up and help. Find someone in need of housing. You may just be the miracle – the lifesaver – she/he is seeking.

My question – who gets the money? Should go to the students who over-paid for a useless piece of paper. Want to make Universities great? Make them take part of the responsibility. They are selling a product. They make fancy promises about what you can do out in the world with that product. If the student shows legitimate attempts to utilize that product and gets told “not interested in that paper” from that out-in-the-world place, University has to pony up part of that money spent by the student. That would change things quickly w/these schools…
